Teaching and Research: A Journey, Not a Race
Hello, my dear Manathin Manuscriptians 🌿
In the teaching profession, we often hear this: “Research is crucial.”
And I’ll be honest with you — the word research used to feel overwhelming to me. Big words, complex data, heavy journals… It all sounded too complicated, too distant from my classroom.
But here’s the truth:
I’m not a professional researcher. I’m not a pro. I’m a teacher who loves to explore, understand, and explain.
Just like how I prepare to teach a new concept to my students, I start by gathering an idea, reading, listening, and questioning — I slowly began to do the same with research.
I treat research not as a high-pressure task, but as a curious mindset.
As a student, I used to wonder:
“How do my teachers know everything that’s in the textbook?”
And that’s what I want to share with you.
🌱 You don’t need to know everything. You only need the courage to begin learning.
Whether you’re a student, a teacher, or someone curious about life — research doesn’t mean writing a 200-page thesis. It starts with questions. It lives in your curiosity. It grows with observation and reflection.
So, through this space, I will be sharing research basics in a very simple, friendly way.
Because if I can understand it — trust me — you can too.
Let’s learn together.
Let’s grow without pressure.
Let’s teach what we learn and learn what we teach.
