  Too Tired to Rest    "Where Psychology meets the stories we quietly live" There are days when my body begs me to stop, but my mind refuses. I move from one task to another—work, deadlines, responsibilities, plans for the future. Even when the day finally ends, I don't know how to switch off. Rest doesn't feel peaceful; it feels undeserved.    I lie down, but instead of sleeping, my mind starts making a list of everything I haven't done. "You could have finished one more task." "You should have used this time better." Somewhere along the way, many of us unknowingly learn to associate our worth with our productivity. We begin to believe that resting is a reward to be earned rather than a basic human need. Psychology calls this productivity guilt —the uncomfortable feeling that you're wasting time whenever you're not accomplishing something. Over time, this cycle can leave us emotionally exhausted.
